Couple Attacked by the Infamous Brown Mountain Lights in North Carolina?

When you go searching for the supernatural, don’t be surprised if the supernatural decides to fuck your shit up. One couple’s shit was fucked up really good this past week when they were reportedly attacked by the infamous Brown Mountain Lights in Morganton, North Carolina. On the night of September 6th, 2013, 31 year-old Sara Nelson and her husband, 38 year-old James Nelson were out near an outlook suggested to them by a friend, where they were hoping to catch a glimpse of the infamous Brown Mountain Lights, which are said to be a type of ghost light/UFO but nobody knows what they really are. After waiting for about 2 hours, the couple finally saw the strange lights appear west of them a few hundred feet away. However, this is when things took a frightening turn. A strange flying object began to fly towards them and proceeded to slam down on the roof of the car. The couple says they attempted to drive away, but the object was somehow hold their car in place. The couple says the object slammed onto the back part of the roof so hard that is smashed the back window and crushed the roof down about 8 inches. This is the first reported “attack” done by the Brown Mountain Lights. Local news channel 12 apparently covered the story and showed the banged up car. However, it seems that video is nowhere on the internet.

This whole story just has the weird vibe about it that’s keeping me from believing it. This story was brought to everyone’s attention by a paranormal investigator named Thomas Byers. All he showed to us as proof the sighting “really happened” was a news paper clipping from the Asheville newspaper that talked about the incident. But this TV news report that was supposedly done is nowhere to be found, and usually these kinds of local news stories get uploaded to the internet immediately. And from what i can tell, not even an online article was done by this local news station (I searched “brown mountain lights attack” and nothing came up except for this one article). Even though there is a newspaper clipping about the incident, it all still seems a bit fishy to me. Overall, why I think the story is definitely intriguing, the lack of evidence such as this supposed TV news report that was done, lead me to believe that this is all an elaborate hoax. This could change in a few days, but for now, that’s what I feel. But, what do you think? Did a couple really get “attacked” by the Brown Mountain Lights or is this just a very elaborate fabrication?
