Rubbery/Squishy Organism Appears After Lightning Strike?

If Resident Evil had little mutant slug monsters, they’d probably look something like this thing that was photographed earlier this week. Where it was taken in unknown. Someone by the name of “ben51959” on Reddit posted photographs of a strange squishy red, burnt mass that he says appeared in his friend’s front yard after lightning struck the ground where it was found. He says he poked it with a stick (I love how people always poke shit with a stick) and doesn’t believe that it has any bones. Theories began to pour in, and the two most popular seem to be it being either a group of tubifex worms or a melted/burned Koosh ball toy. Hours after this was posted to Reddit, someone named “Revolutionizer”  joined the discussion and said he found a similar-looking blob. He posted a picture and sure enough it looks almost identical to the first couple of pictures. As of now, no one has been able to officially identify what the two masses are.

You know, after looking at the photos, i think I have to go with them being Koosh balls. To me, they don’t look like a bunch of worms. The people who are against them being Koosh balls are saying ‘well what are the chances that two balls got hit my lightning in such a short time in two different locations?’ and it’s true that those chances are slim to none. But I don’t think these where hit by lighting. My theory is that the first person saw that his friend’s yard was struck by lightning and thought that I’d be funny to put a weird looking blob where the strike happened and then take a picture. He could’ve melted/burned a Koosh ball and planted the toy on the ground. Then the second person decided to do the same thing and “add to the mystery” of these blob things. Could I be completely wrong? Yes. But that how I see this whole thing. What about you? Do you think that these are a bunch of worms, burned/melted Koosh balls, are they something of alien origin or are they something else entirely?
