Skunk Ape Photographed in Florida’s Gulf Coast?

Skunk Ape Photographed in Florida’s Gulf Coast?

It seems ironic that a creature called the Skunk Ape was caught bathing. You’d think it would want to stay stinky. But maybe it uses skunk spray as shampoo, that would make sense. Wait…did I just say that the Skunk Ape bathing in skunk spray made sense? Yeah…I’m an idiot. Moving on, today we’re going to talk about a photo that supposedly shows the Florida Skunk Ape in the waters of the Gulf Coast. When exactly the photo were taken is unknown but it was uploaded to Facebook on April 18th, 2013 by an IT professor named Ken S. from Cape Coral, Florida. He says that the exact location where the photo was taken was Pine Island in Lee County, Florida. The photo shows a large, grey figure standing in the water possibly looking at the cameraman. Not much else is known about the sighting, other than that only one photo was taken of the creature.

Why does the Skunk Ape look like someone wearing a makeshift wetsuit made of black trash bags? ‘Cause I’ll be honest, that’s what it looks like to me. But that’s not my only problem with this picture. My only other real problem is, why only take on picture? If it was because the Skunk Ape quickly ran away and you only had time to get one pic, then I would be OK with it. But if you have the opportunity to take more than one photo, take as many as you can. Other than that, the photo is fine but it’s just not compelling. I just wish the photo were a bit clearer so we could see the Skunk Ape better. But in it’s current state, I’m not convinced that this is the Skunk Ape, but just some guy in a gillie suit or something like that. What do you think? Is this the infamous Florida Skunk Ape or is it just some guy in a gillie suit?
