Mississippi - The Carrot-Top Aliens. “50 States of Freaky!” Vol. 24 “Back in Time” Vol. 11

Be sure you’re all caught up with these series! “50 States of Freaky" "Back in Time”

———

Drugs are bad kids. Especially LSD. It may be cool to think that you’re riding a unicorn through clouds made of marshmallows in space, but it’ll only get worse from there. Just ask the two guys from today’s story! Let’s head on over to Mississippi (BTW they literally just abolished slavery. Glad you’re finally up to speed with the rest of the country Mississippi!) and look into a famous alien abduction case that took place in Pascagoula on October 11th, 1973. Co-workers Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker went fishing that evening at a local river on the pier. Everything was fine until a large domed cigar shaped craft suddenly appeared in front of them with flashing blue lights and was making whirring/whizzing sound. The ship door opened up and three alien creatures emerged and levitated the two men into the ship. The aliens were described as having pale, wrinkly skin, had no eyes from what they could see, had slits for mouths, and heads that looked to be directly connected to their shoulders. They had three carrot-shaped growths on them. One where the nose would be and two where the ears would be. They also had lobster-type claws for hands and seemingly only had one leg. The stood at about 5 feet tall. The two go on to say that the aliens proceeded to perform experiments and tests on them for 20 minutes before releasing them back to the pier. They’re encounter quickly gained media attention, especially after the recent Betty and Barney Hill Abduction case. 19 years later, Parker claims he came into contact with the same ship and aliens again. he says he spoke with a female being who’d examined him back in 1973. This time, she told him a religious message. She said that they shared the same God as humans and that the Bible was an authentic text. She also explained that her species wishes to live along side humans, but knows that it would be impossible due to our tendencies towards war and destruction. Hicks underwent a polygraph exam and it was determined that he believed in his abduction claims.

I want to see someone make a dramatization of this abduction. Anyway, let’s get down to business. Did this encounter really happen? Eh, I don’t think there will ever be an official answer. Personally, I don’t think I believe it. It all just sounds like it’s a bit to much. First off, as far as we know these two are the only ones who witnessed the UFO and the aliens. Second, and my biggest problem, the aliens are just to weird looking. Yes aliens don’t typically look like us, but in this account they sound like some bizarre creation from a 5 year-old’s imagination. I’ll be honest, I wouldn’t be shocked if they just made it up to go along with the Hill Abduction case that happened over 10 years earlier than their encounter. And unlike with the Hill’s case where it’s actually believable (and I actually do believe something otherworldly did happen to the couple) this just sounds like some kooky story. So those are my thoughts, but what are yours? Do you believe these two men where abducted by actual aliens or did they just make the whole thing up?
