Montana - The Timber Creek Monster. “50 States of Freaky!” Vol. 26

Montana - The Timber Creek Monster. “50 States of Freaky!” Vol. 26

Be sure you’re all caught up with the series! “50 States of Freaky”

———

Montana! The home of trees, mountains, part of Yellowstone National Park and my upcoming supernatural mystery cop thriller novel more trees! But amid all the trees, there lurks a mysterious creature. Between December 2005 and November 2006, the town of Timber Creek, Montana was home to an unknown creature dubbed “The Timber Creek Monster”. (Ground breaking…) The creature had viciously attacked sheep herds in the area. In just one month, it killed three dozen ewes and injured 70 more. People were completely baffled by the creature’s killing pattern. While wolves and coyotes only kill one or two live stock at a time, this mysterious creature seems to kill just for the thrill of it. (dick move bro) People found that the hunting patterns of the mystery creature were similar to those of the Hyena, which is only native to Africa and parts of Asia. On November 2nd, 2006, the mysterious creature was supposedly shot and killed from the air in Garfield County by Montana’s Wildlife Services agents. Initially they were unable to identify the creature which had reddish-yellow fur and weighed 106-pounds. DNA testing later revealed that it was a rogue 4 year-old male wolf with an unusual color of fur.

(A picture supposedly showing a mysterious cryptid canid on the Milwaukee River. Could it be related to the creature killed in Montana?)

Um…not sure what I can say here since the mystery of what the creature was was solved. Well, I do want to quickly comment on the picture above. I’m not if that picture is real or not. I mean it looks real, but it also kind of just looks like some prop animal or something like that. I don’t know, but I know that if I ran into that thing in the woods, I’d probably crap my pants. So to wrap up this post, it’s time for today’s question! Which would you rather have fight by your side in a battle, one giant, nearly invincible wolf or have a thousand normal sized, weak wolves?
